I have a stock 243 heads on my LS2. I changed out the OEM Rocker Arms with Yella Terra Ultralite Shaft Mount Non-Adjustable Roller Rocker 1.7 Ratio and used my stock 7.400 rods.
Switched mine out without issue in pushrod length or valve cover clearance. You need to check the roller tip positioning over the valve tip per the instructions I believe.
No change in valvetrain noise for me. If you want to tighten that up, may consider adjustable rocker arms.
Yes, all was fine with mine. I went to the trouble to check (with a checking rod) and the stock length was good. I did find that it was a bit less noisy. No trouble with the valve cover clearance.
Have fun
I just got done installing YT Rockers. On the OEM heads the 7.40 usually works fine. You must be able to get less than 1 full turn after finger tightening. Then Torque lock to 25 Ft Lbs. On Trick Flow heads It calls for
7.50 Push Rods. There is plenty of clearance unless you use more than one spacer. Then you are essentially raising the Rocker to the point where it may contact the Valve cover. I was lucky and needed no spacers. As far as noise is concerned it is slightly quieter than the oem rockers. Lets
face it We got sewing machines. LOL
