Howdy all. Of all the things I love about my 07 Coupe, one that I do NOT love is the short delay that I get when I stomp on the gas. Because the throttle is fly by wire (a la F16 fighters) there is a short delay before the engine goes gogogogo. Tried running in sport mode, no change.
I spoke with a well known and highly respected local tuner and asked him about this, and he said he could program the delay out.
I'm not interested in changing the driveability, the horsepower or doing anything that would affect my mileage. All I want is the delay gone.
Anyone out there have any experience with just tuning the transmission?
What you're wanting is a Sprint Power Booster. It was made specifically to kill the delay that you speak of.
Cool piece, but very pricey for what it is. About $300.
Curious how much it improves the A6 hesitations, which are purposely programmed by GM to cause delay. Also, wish the website would spell out how to install.
right tuner can fix you up. Faster shifts, later shifts whatever you need. Mine is great, downshifts to first, shifts firmer, downshifts on the highway better and overall is sharper and more firm/quick. good luck with your tuner
