Default Need help tracking down starter for '05 Vette

I'm hoping one of you tech C6 guys can help me out. I'm building a '65 Vette Coupe restorod with a LS2 crate engine (2005 Vette setup). Click here to see setup.

I'm getting close to firing it up but need to first buy a starter. I never imagined a LS2 engine starter could be so hard to track down. Dealer wants over $450 but I'm hoping to find it cheaper if possible.

I think I may have tracked one down for MUCH cheaper ($122 & free shipping). Is this really possible? It seems one of those... too good to be true things. Here's the link to the starter...

I did a cross reference and found that the 2008 GMC Sierra 3500 (6.0) uses the same starter as the 2005 Vette. Does anyone know if this is true? Are there any other starters in LS2's that would work... '06 GTO? '06 SSR?

They are all the same, except for the 3500 trucks with the 4l80 trans.they use a flywheel spacer or some years have a longer flanged crankshaft.just get a truck starter and remove the solenoid and manually engage the starter drive.make sure it doesnt bottom out on the flywheel. i bet a 5.3 starter will be fine.
