Are the volts low? What are they reading at?

If the volts are ok then I'd check the wires going to the starter. They get corroded over time and causes the car not to start. That's what happened to me.

Let us know what happens. Remember to take the wires off and clean the contacts. Just cleaning the top of it will not cure the problem.

Volts mean very little...it's the cranking amps that start the car.

Did you check the DIC and make sure it didn't say "No FOB detected"?

Even with the battery charger on booster start position the car is not trying to crank.also no codes or anything else irregular on the DIC.All connections are clean. There must be a fuse or relay somewhere before the Battery.Tomorrow I will take off the priority start and call dealer.

Check the clutch switch, sometimes those go bad. Could also be a column lock issue, but usually those display as a fault. Try also putting the fob in the pocket in the glovebox, in case the battery is weak. A load tester on the battery could also give you some good information. On mine a shorted reverse light switch also caused starting issues. Couldn't hurt to bench test the starter too. Good luck!

Clutch switch could definately be the problem. Before spending $150 on a tow to the dealer I will buy one and try it

steering column lock just beginning to cause trouble. it'll remain random, happen more in heat, etc.
if your column lock sound is getting slower/lazier, that is a good sign it's dying a slow death. you can do a search for column lock if you are sensing slow/lazy column lock/unlocking sounds.

Might have been loose battery connections. Here's some good info if the column lock starts acting up.
