Do these items void warranty???
That should probably be your first question. If the answer is yes, and that concerns you then you should stop there.

Otherwise, this has been rehashed over and over again and giving the search function a little love will go a long way.

A cat back will not void your warrenty. A cold air probably will. A tune will. Upgrading brakes will. Modding the engine will.

I would start by driving the car stock for long enough to determine what it is you want to get out of any potential mods.

You're safe with a cat-back exhasut but virtually any power enhancing modification will void vast portions of your new car warranty. If you're going to performance modify your new car make sure its worth it.

Other than warranty considerations, see how you're going to be using the car before you start to modify it. I have a friend who was modding his C6 for the drag strip. Then I got him hooked on road racing. It got to where the mods for the drag strip weren't exactly aligned with what he'd do for a track car. He ended up buying a heavily modified C5 for track use and devoting his C6 to the drag strip.

I would question how upgrading the brakes would void any part of the warranty other than the brakes.

Voiding the warranty.............The Magnuson Law protects consumers on voiding warranty for unrelated changes. For example, if you mod the exhaust system, the warranty is still in place for the rest of the vehicle unless it can be proved the part that failed is directly related to the modded part. Common sense.

That being said, I would think if you changed the tune, the whole drive train warranty may be voided. Would that void the warranty for the water pump or A/C compressor? I doubt it would because the tune has nothing to do with those components.

Make sure you thoroughly research this. What's best for one person is not best for another. The C6 has serious drone issues and exhaust systems are expensive. Are you looking for power or just sound? Headers give power and catback changes how the car sounds.

Be honest with yourself and figure out what your long term goals are. If you are worried about a warranty you probably should not mod your car.

I agree with the statements about driving it a bit stock before adding mods. Will allow you to appreciate the power gains you get when you do mod.
Cold air intakes will give similar results you can probably go with a cheaper priced one or used one and be fine.
Exhaust depends on you and whether you want louder than stock. Catbacks aren't gaining power basically all sound and youtube has plenty of clips so you can hear catbacks on C6s. Longtube headers are going to gain you power, so choose them if you are happy with the stock sound and just want some power gains.
Warranty issues differ from state to state and dealership to dealership. You can call a couple of local dealerships and ask what their opinion is on what mods will void warranty. I have a dealership that is further to drive to for me that allows intakes, longtubes, tuning and so on.
