Default New time with DRs

I finally got some traction for the first time. Still trying to get the tune just right. combo:
05 A4 vert
stock 3.15
stock converter
l76 intake
ls3 heads
ls7 injectors
lg headers hi flo cats
z06 mufflers
231/240 617 compcam (really too big until I put my gears and converter in)
275/40/17 DRs
with the stock runflats i had a best of 11.92@121.now with DRs 11.73@121. The DA might have been a little better on the 11.92 night. It was 2350 on the DR night. theres not much more in the first gear pull as far as i can tell with that big cam and stock converter.
60 1.93
660 7.70- 97.22 mph
1320 11.73- 121.02 mph

good times considering you don't have a converter. really good mph. my 05 has a yank 3600 and 3.15 gear. 224/224/ 115 lsa cam and stock heads with headers. ported stock intake and t/b. underdrive crank pulley, and does 7.56 @ 92.85 mph. have'nt had it on the 1/4 yet. my 60' time is 1.96. your ls3 heads are way better than mine. o, almost forgot, i have 305/35/18 nitto 555r2 drag radials on spin's widened rims.

I think it has a more in it. A lot more! I got a 12.15 with a 7.89(1/8)and the got a 7.85 at the 1/8 track which prob would have been a 12.0x. I didnt have a cam, heads or DR. LS2 corvette. You should be in the mid 11s. Just my unscientific analogy.

Nice set up!!

with headers, z06 mufflers, hi flo cats and vararam and very MILD tune I ran 12.27@ 114.5 and 7.99@ 91.88. that was on the stock runflats with a 1.95 60ft. I thought long before I even bout all my pieces that this combo would run 11.15ish @124ish. I still feel thats where it will be with my 3.42 gears and 3500ish converter installed. Anyone else running this combo?. This cam is VERY large for stock gears and converter but I never intended to leave them stock(I just chose to do the front half of the car first) . Im kinda surprised at how well it drives in normal conditions. Jeremy at HP sales helped with the tune from long distance..lol For the most part it drives stock but has a nasty lope at idle.

A nice converter will provide a huge gain. It will really put those DR's to work.

Pre z06 that would be awesome. Ive never seen a - DA day here in Indianapolis. (at least not one that you could go down the track in) I saw a 600ft day last year which is excellent for here. its typically in the 2000-3000 range most any day that we can run. Im hoping that the gears will bring mph up a lil. typically gears and converters dont increase mph as much as et. im 3 mph away from where I want to be. Right now im going thru the traps at 5000 even. thats probably right at torque peak so there must be some mph to be gained with gearing. The downside is that I only planned to put 3.42s in. There is also a 2500 drop on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift.. Is that what other A4s are seeing or will that reduce with the converter?
