A6 software upgrade?

I recently started a post about getting a tune for my A6. I did a search and found several suggestions about a "GM software upgrade" by a dealer for a 07 A6.
What does this upgrade consist of?

I had Chuck at COW tune the motor and the A6 on my 2007 and I love it. I have raced automatics my whole life and Chuck fixed what Chevrolet should have done in the beginning. It is a blast to drive.

I should have asked, "what is the GM factory software upgrade for the 07 A6?"
