Default Thinking about changing shifters

Thoughts? I am not big into the shifter market, but would like one with a shorter throw of course and maybe a little shorter in height.

I have tried B&M and Hurst. Save yourself work and money and just get an MGW.

Save yourself time and disappointment... and money.

Get an MGW.

You realize that a short throw shifter will take more effort to shift? Some don't like that.

I have a MGW and would rather have a stock shifter. Personally IMO it'd be a waste of money.

BUT, if you just want to waste some money and try something out, the MGW is the best aftermarket shifter I have driven with. My $.02

I have not tried an aftermarket shifter, so cannot speak from experience. However I can't find anything wrong with the stock unit, so I'm not sure why people change it. Seems to me the majority of the shifting "feel" would come form the transmission itself and not from the shifter. The stock shifter always performed flawlessly for me, including quick high rpm upshifts and heal-toe downshifts.

I have a stock C6 shifter I am not using now, and I have the RSD Snap shifter currently in the car. Thought I would try them before doing the MGW. If you want to work out a deal for your MGW, let me know. Can't get the pm thing to work.

Didn't think it was all that hard to understand, but let me clarify.

I didn't recommend buying an aftermarket shifter b/c IMO its a waste of money. I like and prefer the stock shifter over any other. (Just stating my opinion)

Ive tried almost all aftermarket shifters on my previous corvette and ended up putting the stock shifter back on. BUT out of all the shifters I've tried, the MGW was the best (least notchy feeling) aftermarket shifter I had. Most tolerable. That's why I recommended it over any other if he's gonna spend his money on one anyway.

comprende?

My latest vette had a MGW when I bought it. Seller didn't have the stock shifter and this is why I currently have a MGW on my car. I'll soon be trading it to my friend for his stock one.

I've never liked the way the oem stock shifter feels. I am leaning toward an aftermarket product myself.

MGW. Period.

Lay a stock shifter down beside a MGW shifter and tell which one is better. The shifter has everything to do with how the tranny (and you) shifts. Those that cry about a shorter throw shifter taking more effort should have bought an automatic in the first place.
