Default ZO6 breaks

I have a 2008 ZO6 and on occasion I feel as though the breaks are soft, exspecially during an emergency stop (45mph to 65mph acceleration then stop). Mileage is 16,000, highway driving, would say normal driving conditions.

In general how long will the break pads last under normal driving conditions?

and will the front or rear break pads wear first?

What break pads do you recommend or should I request when I return the vehicle to the dealer for repairs? I want them to last longer?

Brakes!

Hard to say what normal wear is, it varies to much. Take a look and see how much material is left.
The fronts take the brunt of stopping duties and wear out before the rears. If your pedal feels a little spongey maybe theres some air in the system. Carbotech makes nice one piece pads(so I hear) for Z06 systems that Im going to try when mine are ready to come out.

At 16k you should have plenty of pad left. check your fluid if your not racing or driving hard on the street you should see 25k from your pads i would think.

Check you pad they can be swaped around in the caliper. If you see one thats worn more than the other swap them.
