CORVETTE Recall
General Motors is recalling 2005 and 2006 models for a steering-column problem. About 40,000 cars produced between March 2004 and January 2006 could be affected.
The problem is that repeated movement of the tilt-and-telescoping steering column could cause a signal interruption, resulting in a warning message appearing and the brakes coming on. This could make the sports car pull to the right or the left. If the driver doesn't respond, a crash could occur, NHTSA said. The recall began on April 30, and authorized Corvette dealers will complete the necessary repairs free of charge.

MAKE / MODEL YEARS :
CHEVROLET / 2005-2006
SUBJECT : STEERING WHEEL POSITION SENSOR
Is it safe to assume that any 2005-2006 C6 that is NOT equipped with electronic telescoping steering wheel feature/option will also not be included in this recall/bulletin?
Or could they all be included as all of them have (at least a manual) tilt wheel?
The recall involves only those cars with the telescopic column and only those built thru Feb 06. Mine was built in Mar 06 and wasn't part of the recall. All dealers should be able to tell you if yours is subject to the recall by giving them your VIN.
