If I could get a better 60ft I'd be there. Best I could get out of the stock clutch was 2.060ft.. Nitto NT05Rs did well just clutch stuck to the floor if I launched hard.
Best run:
2.03 60ft
5.28 330 ft
7.94 1/8th
94.1 mph
Best MPH was 96. Still with a 2.0 60ft.
I know a 1.6 60ft would put me at least at 7.5. Driving the same.
Bummed I can't get a good 60.
It's not quite there just yet, that 1/8th mile trap speed is certainly enough for an 11 but a 7.94 is really only enough for a low 12. As you've mentioned you're giving up so much with that sixty foot.
You have the basis for some solid high 11s in there though.
with such a high DA your car probably dont pull as hard as mine did in my DA (less than 1000) but for me from the 1/8 to the 1/4 it usually takes 4.03. if your car pulls as strong as mine then that could be a very high 11.99 but at that DA its most likely going to be a very low 12
The DA tonight was 2836 which means in good DA even with the 2.0 60 that coverts to:
11.719 @ 126.05 MPH
Yes, it should convert to that but until it actually happens then it's simply speculation or a rough estimate. Those correction factors don't take into account the numerous factors that can contribute to making it potentially more difficult (or easier) to get down the track quickly/smoothly, especially with a manual trans/clutch.
I prefer using an actual time slip to know what the car ran.
get a line lock and heat the tires up properly and do the ranger clutch fluid flush before each run. that will hopefully help your 60' and your clutch not sticking. line lock is a couple hundred bucks and the fluid flush is like $10
its speculation... but that high 1/8 trap suggests something right on the borderline of the 11's... I agree, better 60 and less DA could put it in the 11's by alot.
Have you experimented with putting some heat into the tires and just pulling away quickly off idle? You may be able to pick up a tenth or two on the 60 just with that, with no stress to clutch/drivetrain.
Obviously more is available in theory from a hard launch, but it's a violent event and raises clutch/drivetrain issues...
