Default Thermostat Gasket Needed?

Hi all!
I'm in the process of ordering a 160d stat. Jegs says a gasket is not needed but I'm seeing other vendors where the gasket is included.
Do I need a separate gasket or not?

Thanks!

They are probably thinking about the gasket between the housing and block as older, conventional thermostats require. This type of gasket is not needed on LS series engines.

Just replace my stat. in my LS3 with a 160 deg. Stat. comes with an "O" ring style gasket attached around the stat. No other gasket is required. Be aware there is a tab on the "O" ring that lines up with a notch in the stat. housing so that the stat. is positioned properly. There is a bleed hole in the stat. that must be upright. Hope this helps.
