Default MAF performance CEL
well got the cam installed. And got a little tuning done so it will be mostly driveable but now I have a MAF performance CEL that won't reset with HP tuners or by disconnecting the battery. what could be wrong that is poping that code?

is the dtc 0101?

not sure right now I think it was 0106 but I'll look here in a few mins and find out for sure.

it is a p0106 times 2 pops up twice.

just disable the test in the Engine Diagnostic window in HPT

my understanding of the test is that it compares the VE to the MAF to make sure the MAF is in line.. even if you have VE disabled. either Tune the VE or disable the test.

Things to check before disabling the test:

A P0106 could be caused by:

Bad MAP sensor
Water/dirt intrusion affecting MAP sensor connector
Intermittent open in the reference, ground, or signal wire for the MAP sensor
Intermittent short in the reference, ground, or signal wire for the MAP sensor
Ground problem due to corrosion causing intermittent signal problem
A break in the flexible air intake duct between the MAF and the intake manifold
Bad PCM (do not assume the PCM is bad until you've exhausted all other possibilities)
