Was changing rear wheels and noticed my driver side rear wheel, caliper, and other misc parts had a crap load of grease on them. Come to find out my c5z halfshaft boot by the rotor has a small nick in it and decided to poop it's lube all over. A new halfshaft is about $400 plus labor. Is there a way to replace the boot itself without having to buy a whole new half shaft?
I called part taxi and ordered a whole new half shaft. He has great deals on them!! Local dealer wanted $400+. Part taxi only wanted about $255. Once I replace it I'll rebuild the outer boot and he says he has the kit for it for like $50 roughly. Then I'll keep that rebuilt half shaft as a back up.
