Default Service Active Handling Fixed - '09 C6

Great experience with Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, TX.

My '09 z51 c6 had been doing this since the day I bought the car. I hadn't taken it in. I ended up modifying the car hoping the performance shop might have a solution. They didn't.

I was honest with the dealership that my car is modified and no hiding it with a cammed car. They didn't give me any trouble over that and no debating about if the issue was due to mods are not. I usually dread any dealing with dealerships because of that. It was a pleasure dealing with them.

They put a new throttle position sensor on my car and the problem is solved!! The car actually has Competitive Driving Mode like my old c5 z06 had. I wasn't able to use it till now.

The Throttle Position Sensor has nothing to do with your issue. The problem will be back and back WITH A VENGECE!

Hope you and the dealerhip have a CLOSE relationship. Your going to need it!

Yea GM put an actual recall on this for 05-06 as the column sensor. they fix it with this little red clip that goes on the wiring harness. Had to pay for mine because gm hasnt declared it a recall for all years yet..

Thanks for the comforting message.

I got the name of the part wrong. Paperwork says they replaced the Steering Wheel Rotation sensor and program.

Is that any better of a prognosis? At least it doesn't show "Service Active Handling" anymore.

Thats a MUCH better diagnosis and repair. I have a strange feeling that mine is causing me the same issues. Theres a recall out and Im hoping that the recall will resolve it.
