Default Delayed Door Opening

This one seems weird. When my 05 sits for a few days both passinger and drivers doors develope a long delay before the catch finally releases. This can take almost a minute at times and puts me in panic mode. This only happens when the car has been sitting idle fora few days. After that it functions properly the rest of the day or evening. I tried using the other key fob and the same condition exists. Any ideas out there???
Thanks,
Jeff.

Mine never went that long, but it was noticeable.
Get new fob batteries, as I just did for my early '05. Weaker fob signal and the car has to search longer.

Well, as usual with these cars of ours, make sure your battery is healthy. If in doubt, or it's been a few years, or it's _ever_ gone dead, replace it.

And considering that your problem only occurs after a few days of sitting, it's very likely to be a battery problem.

Weak batteries are the cause of 90% of electrical weirdness in these cars.

Mine will occasionaly have a delay. I don't notice a pattern or set of circumstances that go with it. It seems to be random. Worst case for me is two or three tries a few seconds each try. My guess was there were some kind of stray signals around. For example I have heard of certain types of burglar alarms giving false positives to radar detectors back in the day.

Default Delayed door opening

Not sure if this is an old thread, I just got my C6, so I'm experiencing delayed door opening and I changed I fob battery and didn't mark it, lol, so I'll be replacing both as I can't identify which is new, duh.

If they are the original fobs they should have either a 1 or 2 on the back side.
