warranty friendly performance upgrades?

On manual cars 3.90 gears would not be detectable. 4.10s would require a slight tuning change to work. Auto cars require tuning changes.
Without tuning, air cleaners and exhaust could hurt things.
Get a new ECM and mod with tuning. Your original computer could be put back if an issue arose. Its a deception but Im sure it would fly in most peoples minds.
If some thing broke on my car I considered the cost of owning a high powered corvette and didnt look for repairs on my modded car. When the C7 comes out, I will mod it once I have a few 1000 miles on it to verify its running right. I dont care about warranties or GM's opinion. I will eat the cost as part of owning an 800HP corvette.
