I would put an aftermarket NAV unit in as the GM / Denso unit is the most user unfriendly thing I've ever used.
I put a Kenwood Garmin unit in my 2009 ZR1, best thing I ever did.
It really is not that bad or a unit if you take the time to learn all the features. It is a little complicating at first, but after playing around with it for awhile it will start to get easier.
I agree the aftermarket NAV units have outstanding features and work very well. I just think they look out of place in the corvette and you can tell it was added on. The factory NAV is by no means a great looking piece of equipment but it fits in the car very well.

I agree, I think the original Nav system is awesome, it does pretty much everything once you learn how to use it. There is an awesome write up posted above.
