Default ACT clutches???

I havent heard too much here on the forum about the ACT Twin Disk Clutch kits. They seem reasonably priced; can you guys chime in and let me know of your experiences with them?

I have one and I love it. Stockish pedal pressure and engagement and holds 850 foot pounds.

Now there is a thread in the FI forum about a couple guys who are having problems with them dropping to the floor under high RPM/high load so I would look into that.

Thanks, that makes me a little more confused. Since the problem supposedly is only on the 06 Z06's for whatever reason. Mine is a base 05 but I dont see the difference.

I just wish there were more people on these forums with these ACT clutches to chime in. I know I could just spend the 1600 for an RPS and be happy but thats alot of cash.

Is There such thing as having too much clutch??

Im having some parts installed at the same time I get the clutch done which will "hopefully" yield me around 400whp.

Car is 2005 ls2 and currently have vararam intake, ported throttle body, npp exhaust

will have installed/done; 102mm fast manifold, lg superpro headers and good tune

I was thinking of doing a supercharger in a year but I think I will be content with this for a while.

I was leaning towards the ls7 clutch with aluminum flywheel, but feel like why go oem. Whats the biggest difference between the single disc vs dual disk clutches? seems like clamping force is the same on some of them compared. I would not be doing any launching, I only do rolling starts and lots of canyon sprinting. I search for hours online comparing things but cant come to a solid conclusion.

Thanks guys
