Default Catch can install for an 09 LS3

I am installing a catch can. The PCV tubing that you remove, as seen in the various directions, looks very different on my car vs. the LS2 directions. For those of you have done this on an 09 LS3 do the hoses just pull off or is there some kind of release mechanism? It is tough to see back in there!

Thanks!!
Tom

The little loop of hose that you want to remove to put on your catch can hoses comes off exactly the same as the clip on hose that runs between the throttle body accordian bellows and the metal line on top the valve cover. Unclip this yourself and you will understand exactly what you need to do to unclip the U shaped hose. The clamp mechanism is exactly the same. You need a long thin screwdriver as a pry tool to work the clamp.

You can see the hose in the picture below. The clamp on this is the same.

Once you get one end off you can twist the hose around to get a better working angle to unclip the other end.

Thanks TLK! That's what I thought it looked like. I replaced my air intake a week ago.

Just curious, do LS3's not have the hose coming from the lifter valley to just behind the throttle body like the LS2's? That is the line that I tapped into for the catch can.

They do, you just can't see it in the above picture with the plastic fuel rail cover on. Looks pretty much the same as previous LS engines. Just a short loop of hose connects the two ports. I looked, but couldn't easily find a picture showing it though I've seen a ton of them.

ok. that's the hose that I tapped into. I also have a RevExtreme catch can. From lifter valley into can, then from can (pcv valve) to throttle body.
