Default Suggestions on Deep Staging?

I'm racing Sat in a 12.50 index race, .500 Pro Tree... if the weather is cool, I have no problem.. however if its HOT here is my problem..

If I DEEP STAGE I can cut a .0 teen light but in the heat the car will run 12.62 - 12.65 ... so if I shallow stage I'll run 12.53 BUT my RT will slow down to .090 because of the added rollout....

So do I DEEP STAGE.. & cut a good light but run 12.60ish... or shallow stage run the # have a so-so light ?

If the weather is good I can go deep & still run 12.5x but not in the heat...

Just looking for suggestions... tkxx

It's just a matter of timing, just step up your reaction time with the swallow stage (hot day).

I bracket raced for years and after a few tries either way I would get it down. My suggestion is to try and red light and you might get close. Leave as the bulbs are "lighting up", you must focus like a hawk. I feared no evil and you won't either.

PS: Your best chance of winning is cutting a good light and runing at the bottom of your index and let off at the end if the other car is not that close, you don't want to run out and loose the race.

Actually a .090 isn't all that bad, if you can cut that kind of light and still run in the 12.5s then you might be ok. I tried the shallow staging (I was VERY shallow) thing in the 11.50 last weekend but I couldn't get better than a .200 R/T so I needed to find a happier medium. You might want to go shallow and then bump it in once maybe?
Oh and you should definitely go full shallow for at least one of your qualifying passes, it will cost you some free practice/seat time on the tree but a dead on 12.50 might also get you paired with a much slower car on the ladder.
Keep in mind that this class/event will be new to everyone that day so they'll all be in the same boat as far as dialing in for the ET so I don't think any of them will be running dead on 12.500s.
It's going to be hot no matter what but not nearly as bad as we had there last Saturday and it looks like the barometer will be rising a little bit before then, probably looking at some mid to high 80s with a barometer over 30.00 but I wouldn't expect a DA any better than +2400 at the actual track.
Just do all of the tricks that we talked about and don't go red and you should go rounds, at least until the 10/11 second 'laptop boys' start getting into their groove LOL.

Keep in mind that this race is on a .500 pro tree so once ya see yellow it's almost too late.

He has no chance whatsoever of of breaking out on anything other than a full shallow stage, deep staged he will run no quicker than a high 12.5x/low 12.6x in this heat as his car has so few mods (Vararam, thermostat, drag radials and tuning only).
