Default 1st Gear Grinding

Quick question for you guys. I ran a search and haven't been able to find any conclusive view on what the problem with my car might be.

With 30k miles on my 07 MN6 I noticed that the car will occasionally grind going into 1st gear with the clutch in, car stopped. While it doesn't always grind in this condition I can usually reproduce it while stopped by pushing in the clutch and placing the car into 1st gear (repeating the process while stopped until it grinds)

The grind only occurs when placing the car into 1st gear and seems to occur when quickly placing the shifter into 1st.

The grind feels similar to what you'd feel shifting the car while moving without the clutch. I flushed out the Hydraulic system for the clutch a second time yet the problem is still there.

My theories:

1. Bad synchro on 1st gear (would this come into play with the car stopped, clutch in though?)

2. Clutch dragging/not fully disengaging (Air in the system maybe?)

3. Dirty Trans Fluid (the car has Redline D4 ATF in it with approximately 10k on the fluid - this is going to be my next target)

Any opinions on this would be appreciated.

If you are still under warranty, get it to the dealer. Sounds like a bad synchro to me and this is not a cheap repair.
