I have a supercharged 05 Z51. I keep getting the service charging system light. The alternator is not charging unless the engine is over 1400rpm's. Does anybody make a smaller alternator pulley to remedy this issue. I have the paxton model 1200 supercharger and I believe it has a larger crank pulley than stock.

If you mean the crankshaft belt drive pulley is larger than a stock belt drive than the alternator would be over driven compared to stock. Sorry to say, it might be time for a new alternator.

Yes I would normally agree with that. But the serp belt is longer as well for the supercharger. Wouldn't this make the alternator spin slower? The alternator charges perfectly. Except when the engine rpm is below 1400rpm's. The alt has be off the car and bench tested by a local electric garage. They rebuild starters and alternators. It tests good. The smaller the crankshaft pulley is the faster the components will spin tho. Still looking for ideas....
