Hey guys, I recently had my car in for the "Service Active Handling" recall. Long story short, I always thought that the car wouldn't allow me to cut it loose because of this issue.
I was out the other night and wanted to let it go, all while in Comp Mode. I popped the clutch, only to have power cut off and the car pulling away slowly.
Any ideas? Do the TC/AH both have to be turned off?
Just because you had the "Service Active Handling" recall work done doesn't mean you were ever affected by the problem. Prior to having the recall work done were you getting the Service Active Handling warning? Even if you previously had the problem and got the warning I'd think the problem was fixed when they did the recall work.
Assuming it's working properly, comp mode shuts-off traction control completely (and leaves active handling on but at a reduced level of intervention). If you were you accelerating in a straight line I can't imagine active handling in comp mode would be applying the brakes for any reason. If I use comp mode on a road course (even with its reduced level of intervention) the system engages at virtually every corner and many curves...system intervention can bog down my exit out of a corner but there's no intervention driving or accelerating in a straight line.
Experiment with the different modes and shutting all nannies off and see what happens. Assuming TC/AH are working properly I'm guessing your car is bogging-down due to other reasons. Let us know what happens. Good luck!
Thanks for the quick reply, I was actually at a stopped position wanting to change lanes, so I wasn't going in a straight line, this would explain why this happenned. Thanks again.
