Default A6 with 3.15 gear

Looking for feedback from those of you with a 3.15 gear in an A6. How does it drive around town, on the freeway, how much did mileage suffer, etc. Considering it for AutoX ASP. Thanks.

I just installed a RPM with 3.42 in my supercharged vette. It made a big difference in the overall performance of the car. Once I had a decent tune in it it was great. Alot of the change has to due with a tune. I loaded up one tune and it was terrible, then I loaded a different one and was all smiles. As for mileage I never really look or care as it drinks alot. When it says 1/4 tank I fill up because the next full station might be 50 miles away. LOL.

I too have a supercharged A6 and do keep track of my gas milage. I was getting 26 mpg on the freeway at 80 mph regulary. Then a rear end forced swap and I lost 3-4 mpg. Then I finialy got around to getting a semi mild blower cam and now my gas milage went to hell. down to around 19 mpg. I didn't expect the cam to make that kind of differance. So new rear end = loss of 3-4 mpg + new cam = loss of 3-4 mpg the math is simple mod+mod=speed divided by $$= lots of fun and more frequent stops at the gas station. It is what it is. You can't get somthing for nothing!

3.15s are good, I have 3.42, and a 440ci motor and still get 24-6 mpg at 75 on the highway. poor gas milage is a tune issue, the gears will help a TON! the gas milage will not be effected near as much as you think. 1-2 mpg maybe.

driveablity is not a issue, you will see no neg effects. the car will be MUCH more responsive.
It will come out of the corners much much harder.
