I went the lowering bolt route and most are junk and last about two months. The Hardbar brand are the only good ones in my opinion. I tried several brands before those, but gave up and installed coilovers.

Sorry to hijack your thread ; but timd38 - do you have to pull the control arms to change out the factory spring bolts?

Just did mine 2 days ago. Took the stock bolts out and cut the bottom 2 ribs off. pain in the *** to cut - the ribs are metal washers so be careful. Between that and lowering the bolts all the way I got about an 3/4" out of my rears initially. Since then, I have driven about 50 miles and they have settled another 1/4 inch or so.
One thing I did prior to putting everything back together was put a small dab of grease under the freshly cut bolts to aviod any annoying squeaks while the suspension settles in. Here is a good link to aid in the process.
