Do you have the Z51 package? I have an 09 with the Z51 and the brakes make a squeal under light pressure braking. When I add a little more pressure it goes away. The dealer told me it was normal for Z51 cars as they get a glaze on the rotors.
Yeah, it's basically considered "normal" operation. Too bad they don't tell you to expect this when you buy the car right, LOL! If you use them harder and bed in the brakes better by doing several high speed hard stops, the noise should become lesser. Most people on here choose to get different pads such as "Ceramic" which should cut down on the noise as well as brake dust.

Reason: typo
When they squeal I'll bet it is the rear ones doing it during normal driving. Mine did it and I went to the dealer for this a few times. This started at about 6K and I was told that they would have to look at everything and then decide if this was covered under bumper to bumper. I was told in the end that it was because the rears had glazed over and they could bed the brakes in better but there is no way of telling if the squealing will come back. The squealing did return but I ended up tracking the car after a couple of track events the squealing stopped. The dealer service rep told me that it should of had a sticker on the front window for buyer to be prepared to hear a squeal.
Since then I have put new pads on the car and it has not come back.
I had a squeal that I believe was @ right front when applying light pedal pressure. Went away with heavy pressure.
Installed my new powdercoat calipers, reused pads and cleaned Rotors with brake parts spray.
I dabbed some caliper grease on the pistons where they contact back of pads. Pads now fit snugly against pistons and squeal is gone.
From what I've researched grease or Disc Brake Quiet forms a cushion between pad & piston & eliminates any pad vibrations which is supposedly where noise is from.
