OK, so I pulled a bonehead move! I was installing a trickle charger and when I removed the post bolt I dropped it into the abyss of the engine compartment. It didn't drop through to the floor, I double checked. Anybody know how to acquire a new one, or find the old one? I went to my local Chevy dealership and they tried to tell me the only way to get one was to buy a set of cables. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
Find a strong magnet on a long telescoping stem. I bought mine years ago at a parts house. I have dropped Many nuts, bolts, sockets, etc over many years in engine compartments and have gotten Most of them back because of it. Sometimes it takes a while but it works. Good luck!

or a new car - seriously, are you
talking top post, or side terminal? i don't know if all C6's have top mounted batteries terminals, or not, but my 08 is top post. i just bought side post bolts from autozone to repair my son's 85 corvette ground cable and for another s-10 pickup. as i recall, they (autozone) had a whole rack of repair stuff for batteries and cables. they just might have what you're looking for...
You need to do everything you can to find it...it is not a normal nut and cannot be purchased separately. It is meant to be loosened only and not removed. Good luck!
