I've finally figured out what I want, had it all spec'ed out, and very nearly ordered from MacMulkin this week. However, with winter coming I'm going to have to wait till spring. If I ordered today there would be an early snow somewhere between Bowling Green and Maryland just as I was driving home.
However, now that I'm waiting till spring to buy everyone on the east coast should enjoy a nice mild winter.
So now the plan is a museum delivery in April or May. From there we'll do a road trip to the midwest to visit friends and family while we're in that part of the country before heading back home to Maryland. Is there anything I should be concerned with or aware of before taking the new car straight from the factory/museum on a 2,000+ mile road trip? I want to be sure we can do the trip since my wife is already starting to make plans.
I'm in Ellicott City. I can't wait to get the new car. I just sold my previous toy car - a Honda S2000 which was a lot of fun in its own way. I am down to my utility vehicle a Ford F150. For some strange reason the F150 isn't quite as much fun to drive as a roadster!
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!! Going to be a long winter though.
Might want to use these next months to review the owner's manual and familiarize yourself with the new car break in procedure. You can view owner's manuals online at gmpartshouse.com, click on "downloads", "owners manuals", "Corvette", "2010". The 2011 manual isn't up yet. Have fun.

Your not to far away. Update us when you order...take lots of pics and I'll see you come spring 2011!

I actually intended to post this in the General Discussion section, but wasn't paying enough attention when I started the thread. I didn't want to do a double post and unfortunately don't know how to move the thread.

Sorry!

No big deal John , when in the spring will you be going to BG ? It's a great place if you know where to go and what to do.
There is the museum and the plant to tour and Beech bend , and a few good resturants. Nashville is 1 hour away with plenty to do. There is Opryland and the Oprymills with all the clubs there , good eats too.
