Default Mr gasket 160 issues

Installed a mr gasket (160) stat. Now it sounds like a pulley is squeaky.

Sounds like you got coolant on the Belt or Pulleys.

dont use the belt dressing stuff it nasty. if you want take a crayon and while the engines running touch it agaainst the ribbed side. It will help it gain traction and tell you which belt is squeeling. (i think there are 2 on yours) then if it comes back later on just replace that belt. Also double check that the t-stat gasket/housing isnt slightly dripping either. I have seen them only drip a little at hot temps, clean it off under the housing good and see what you see

Took some royal purple lube and it took care of it.

:agree: if you put lube in it it wont squeal as much(because the belt is slipping and once it gets some grip back so will the squeal. Pretty easy to swap the 2 belts out cheap,,,,,,bet around 30-40 per belt o pick one up I would do it ASAP because. got any questions about and i can walk you thru it palu 7340610
