Default Need help flycutting pistons.

Hey guys.

I'm about to pickup my cam this week and get started on my LS3 topend conversion. I'll be running a custom cam in the mid 23XINT and mid 24XEXH and the heads will be milled to bring the compression up to 11.1 or slightly higher...so I know I'll need to flycut to make the cam fit.

Anyway, I'm going to need to flycut my pistons but I can't find a place that has them. Everytime I call Isky they say it will take a 1 to 2 months to get them in. They've been saying this for the past year. Thunder Racing is out of stock and are on back order until Isky can get them the cutters.

Does anyone know where I can get a set of flycutters for the LS3 heads or maybe buy a good used one? I have stock size valves.

Also, will I need to buy the cutters for both the INT and EXH valves or just the INT?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm trying to get started this wknd.

Thanks in advance.

We have a flycutting rental. It comes with the cutter and a dummy head that has the seat ripped out. The rental is $199 with a $300 core charge to make sure we get the head back.

Call me if you need help.

So that's 199 plus the 300 right? Does that cover shipping or no?

Just curious, buy why didn't you go with TrickFlow's and use your existing FAST? Probably wouldn't need to flycut those and they are a solid 500-505/440-450 and a ticket to a 10 second ride, tried and true. I don't think any l92 conversion guys are in the 10's though most can't drive like you can I guess.
