MT 305/35/19 Drag Radial IS COMING!!

True, but with 700rwhp I don't think a 30-35 series 19" drag radial will work out too well either unless of course they're produced with a rubber compound that's designed to last less than 1000 miles (not very cost effective at $400.00+ per tire).
Good point.

They are just for the street, and not the track. I'd like to be able to roll in to 700-800rwhp on the street with the stock 19 inch wheels and keep it looking like a stock car. Track duty will still be 17 inch tires.

The 19s should be very good for basic street duty and will give ya some of that 'sleeper effect' as well.

That's enough for me with a street car
By the end of the year I'll be daily driving a stalled and HEAVILY cammed car. I'd like to be able to hook on the street without running a 17" wheel out back. The 305 and 345 with both do that.

Fixed.
We don't know for sure that the 305-19s or 345-19s will be good for singles digits (we are talkin' in the 1/4 mile and not the 1/8th, correct? ) as it hasn't actually happened yet. They haven't even gone 10s or even 11s yet for that matter (though I do believe that the higher diameter Nittos have).

So..... this thread's creaping up on being 8 months old. After reading it, I'm about to think that we're not any closer to a 19" drag radial now, than we were 8 months ago. Right? Wrong? Maybe?

You don't need much sidewall to run single digit numbers. The days of needing a 15" wheel with a 28" tall tire to run a respectable ET are gone.
Bone stock cars are running mid 10s on street tires on 19" wheels. You can't tell me an R compound wouldn't do it better

Not that I can tell. I didn't get a response back yet. As somebody mentioned, these would sell like hotcakes for the CTSV guys. They don't need a lot of sidewall to 60ft like some of us with 6 speeds.

He wasn't talking specifically about a tire brand, he was only talking about sidewall.

Too bad it's not in a size that fits a C6 unless it's a grandsport or Z. My good buddy runs them on his blown LS7(4SELLL) and they have done alright.

I'd still always run the higher profile in a manual though to help absorb some of the shock, but a high stalled auto will handle it no sweat.

19 MT DR's ARE available NOW

Now if only I didn't have to take out a small mortgage to buy them I would consider mounting them on my beautiful Comp Grey stock rims (that I haven't had on the car in years now due to using my various 18" and 17" drag radials for better street traction LOL).

I've had mine mounted on the stock c6 rims running pfadt coilovers as well almost full soft in the front and stiff in the back. Let me say DAMN these things dead hook. My car is an LS3 with a cam, full exhaust and A&A T-trim making 644whp. I can hammer it in 2nd gear at about 55-60mph with no spin what so ever, I've been really thrilled with them for roll racing. Last outing at the track I couldn't get my launch quite right because the car kept bogging off the line every time I would expect it to spin! So far I'm loving them. I am in the process of going widebody and will for sure be running a mickey thompson et street II out back mounted on some 18's. Can't wait to see how well that setup will hook.
