Installing HUD, How Is Odometer Reading Retained?
A friend of mine is considering purchasing a 1998 C5, which of coarse does not have HUD. We realize HUD display requires a matching gauge cluster for proper electrical connection.
How does one handle swapping of gauge clusters yet retain the original mileage of the car? Is there a service available from GM? The 1998 he is considering has only 14,000 miles on it, so retaining original mileage is extremely important to him.
