Default 05 Shift to reverse, Remote Start

Ok so i have an 05 mn6 and i just installed a remote start. I think i've got everything functioning. The car is not driveable because i'm doing some other mods, but i'm anxious to see if i run into any problems. If anyone has any knowledge to share before i put the car together please share...This is what i have so far.

I ran into several problems:

1. GM push to start is a PITA, i'm going to post a picture of directedelectronics wiring diagram I used

2. '05 models require that you park them in reverse for shut down. (accessory stays powered and the steering collumn doesn't lock)

3. There is no nuetral safety switch in a t56 to tell the alarm not to start when in gear.

So to deal with the neutral safety issue, I made my own setup out of magnetic switches. I welded tabs to the lower part of my shifter and placed the magnents on them. In the front and behind the shifter I installed two sets of normally closed magnetic switches...Basically if the shifter is in any gear the magnetic switches open up. This took a little time to set up, but it works flawlessly.
So on one circuit i have in series one front switch and one rear switch.
Another circuit consists of the other front and rear switch in series.

The first set of switches are in series with the parking brake wire and connected to the nuetral safety input of the alarm (basically the car will not remote start unless the parking brake is set and the car is in nuetral.

The second set of series switches are connected in the diagram i'm about to post. Connections are made at Pins 49 and 69 of the bottom right connector on the bcm and connection and cutting one wire are located at the Column lock control module. (please refer to picture)
What this allows is when the car is powered off it must be placed in nuetral instead of reverse for shut down.

I know this is a common topic of discussion and i hope someone has some input to share, does anyone see any potential problems with how this is wired. I've searched and searched and haven't found ANYONE who has tried to eliminate the shift to reverse. Could wiring this circuit and just not using the magetic switches work for everyone else? (basically take my circuit but with pins 49,69, and the lights green wire on the Column lock module always connected? I've metered and don't show any more current draw than i did with the car factory. Has anyone else tried this?

So everthing seems to be working fine in my car at the moment, i'm going to attach the images

If I'm not mistaking the car only needs to be shifted into reverse so that everything powers down. Once the car powers everything off and locks the steering wheel, just shift it into nuetral before you get out. Shouldn't take more than a few seconds.

I've heard this also but it's quite a gamble to find out if it's true or not. Could potentially make someone late for work.

It's absolutely true, and how we helped figure out DBS years ago.

If you have '05 MN6 try shut down in reverse and then shift to neutral as fast as you can after the motor stops. Then check and see if you get the DIC warning to 'shift to reverse' when you try and exit. You might see that the message won't appear if you go slow. The car only needs to see reverse for a few seconds to totally shut down. After that any gear you want to leave the car in is fine. And the wheel does not HAVE to lock.

As far as neutral sensing goes, one alarm manufacturer figured this out a decade ago. On a MT car, require this procedure to shut down:

1) Put car in neutral
2) Parking Brake
3) Exit Car
4) Arm system (lock) - the remote starter then turns off the car.

If any doors are opened before the remote starter is engaged or if the procedure is not followed, don't allow a remote start (car could possibly be in gear). I had is on my Aladdin alarm in my 240sx years ago. I kind of figured that would be the norm for MT cars now.....
