i am trying to install rear shocks on my 2010 coupe.. how do you get to the top nut? bottom is easy but cant seem to figure out how to get to it.. any help would be appreciated
i put z06 shocks on a non z06.. to include sway bars from a z51 im going for a drive..... when you do yours you are going to need tools... the bottom rear bolt is a 24mm the top rear is a 13mm.. the front is 13mm for the bottom 2 ... the top drivers side is easier if you remove your over flow tank you dont have to disconnect it just two bolts and set it aside.... set aside a few hrs.. ive got sore knees so i made a foam pad... also dont forget to use jack stands... i did one corner at a time... you will need your jack to put under the a arm to jack it up to compress the shock to install each one... be carefull not to cross thread the rear top 2 13mm bolts. i found that a coat hanger will hold the shock but was a little too thick... if you can get medium safety wire to hold them its better....good luck be patient if you need help pm me..... ill give you my # i can text you pics

Thanks for the information. I have a Z51 that I'm going to put base shocks on. I hope to improve the ride. I'm not a racer or hot rodder and I'm tired of the rough ride.
One of the 3 bolts holding the shock plate on top is loose. This causes the squeak. These are very easy to cross thread or to strip by over tightening. Red lock-tite finally did the trick. The nuts on the top of the shock should also be all the way down to the stop compressing the rubber. The instructions with the KONI's were rather vague.
