I'm planning on taking in my 06Z for a similar issue as yours. My low beams reflect off even the high signs, and the high beams are in the trees. I have been flashed several times as people think I have my high beams on...
I have tried adjusting, and they are both adjusted all the way down, with the lows still pointing way too high. Can you guys actually see the cutoff ine from the lows somewhere down the road in front of you? I cannot, and the lows reflect off the road signs so bright its almost glaring as you drive by.
I am hoping that I can get 5 min of the tech's time to see just how the car aims on whatever they use.
I think the best way to check for gross misalignment, is to get a couple of other fairly low mileage, unmodified/undamaged C6's and do a comparison at night. In a dark parking lot, preferably with a building you can aim the lights onto.
Move each of the cars a couple of times, even "perfectly level" pavement has slight undulations that will effect the aim.
