Default Codes p0050/p0155

Just to give a little back story

Car is a 2006 w/ 6 speed. Only mods are K&N drop in's, 160 degree t-stat, B&B long tube catless headers, corsa x, and B&B bullets. I recently received a tune from ECS as well.

I keep throwing these two codes and keep getting multiple reports on the problem. The codes, from what I was told, arefor the o2 sensor that used to be located before the cats on the stock exhaust system. Upon searching I found my o2 extention was burt and need replacement.

I order the replacement and put it in, but I am still throwing these same two codes. The location of the o2 plugs are the two that came before the cats are located on the side of the long tubes and then the after cat 02's are located at the top if that helps.

Please help! Need to get emmisions done and won't pass with a CEL

Did you clear the original codes? Is it possible everything is fixed and your just continuing to see the original codes that were set?

Are you sure the other O2 sensors are working properly. I would think with the removal of your cats the after cat sensors would be giving you the problem. Recheck all wiring again and maybe swap the front sensors to the rear (is that possible?), clear the codes, and see if they return.

Did you inform ECS that you were running a catless exhaust system? They can/should be able to remove those error codes from their tune.

being catless could be the problem but I would have hoped the tune would tell the ECU to not show the codes even if they are there.

I disconnected the battery since I do not have a OBDII scanner to clear codes.

I told ECS that I was catless and gave them a call yesterday. Said they where going to get back to me but havent.

They cant fix the reason for the reading if its just cuz of being catless, but they should be able to keep the code from coming up. But I dont know if that is a legal thing or not.

It's a federal emissions violation to remove or relocate the factory cats.
