Default Another check engine light question

06 6speed
Kooks LT w/HF cats installed 4/10
160 stat 8/10
VR 8/10
Tune 8/10
74k miles

The car was real low on fuel ,gased up and later on I get the light. The problem is the car runs strong and hard, with zero issues and I believe the rear o2's were tuned out. Any ideas before heading back to the tuner or dealer?
TIA
David

Go to the local parts store and ask to borrow a code reader and find out what code has been set. Then you will have something to go on.

I went to advanced auto , they don't do it anymore. He thinks Pep Boys. But, I have 3 different types of cars and my kids cars and in-laws cars, i might as well buy the Actron CP 7580 model for $199 on sale

If you have On Star, if asked they might tell you the code.
Else, yep buy a scanner.
Could be as simple as not replacing the gas cap correctly after your fill up.

Default check engine light

went to the station and filled up, went home, 2 miles away. got up the next morning and boom, check engine ligh is on. come to find out i didn't have the gas cap on tight. had to go to the dealer to have in re-set. with caps with different cars one just pushes in and turns the cap and that's that. not so with the gas cap on my vette. if you push all the way in and turn, then pulled on the cap, it comes right out. more ware now!!

I originally put $25 in ( I think the guy gave me reg 87 octane ) but the tune was for 93 octane. I'm not sure if that will cause a code. So, I just filled it with 93. Lets see what happens. I checked all clamps on the TB to make sure they were tight-Ok.

I bought the Actron pocket scan plus that reads codes and paid around $56.00. It works great, easy to use, reads codes and erases codes. Actron also gives you a list of the most common codes and a web site for further code definitions.

Could it be wrong gas, 87 oct when car is tuned for 03 oct? Or is it most likely a vacuum leak?

Buy yourself a code reader. It will save you tons of head aches when you diagnosing problems. Make sure you get one that will erase codes as well as read them.

I bought the Actron9850 Amazon for $169 freeship. P0050, P0059 and p0155. I will be checking wires on B2 S1 to see if damaged. If not , dealer will replace 02 sensor under GMPP
