Powder Coated Disk Question?

For you guys who have powder coated your entire disk. What did you resurface your front disk back down to? And how much did you resurface back on your rear disk? Meaning I measured the exposed part on front to come up to 2-1/4", and the rear exposed 1-5/16. Does this sound about right? I should be getting mine back today so I'll know for sure. I'm only resurfacing because of the powder coat not because of disk damage. I just wanted to be pretty close to only exposing the part of pad contact. thanks for any input.

Install the new rotors with the old pads, use them enough to clean the rotors then install new pads?

It really doesn't matter unless you are using high temp powder because it will all fall off when you drive the car and get the rotors hot.
