Default Name that part !!
Found this floating around in my driver side footwell. About the length of a quarter and had some grease on it. Any clues?

It is a nut that is installed with a rivet type gun. The lower half compresses to hold it in the hole so that a bolt can be inserted. My bet is that only the top 1/3 has threads.
