Also curious for those who respond, which height? The stock C6, the threaded C5/C6 one or the extended one.
I have an early model 2005 C6 like vin 9k or something. Don't have the car with me (engine is being rebuilt almost done) and have thought about doing this shifter.
Does it sit too low if you do the shortest option?
In my experience I could not force the stock **** down far enough to get it to line up the lower mounting hole, so I only used the higher setting. At this setting the **** looks a wee bit taller than stock, but the throw is still much shorter due to the higher pivot point. It takes enough effort with the MGW that I don't think I would want the lower setting.
SOLD my shifter

I'll sell you my MGW.
I have the latest version.
I have BOTH the stick for the stock **** AND the threaded shaft because....
I also have the race ****.
I will be posting a "for sale" thread in the appropriate place later tonight unless someone here wants to finalize a sale...
Shifter
stock **** shaft
threaded **** shaft
race **** with chrome shift pattern on top
Retail price was....$330 plus shipping
My slightly used price......$285 shipped
Thats over a $50 savings when you add shipping into the equation. Don't want to break up the set unless it sits for a while without interest.

What do you want for the threaded shaft and the race ****?
I had the MGW ball ****, but didn't like it. Since I have the threaded shaft (9/16 - 18) I ordered a **** from House of ***** ([/URL](http://prostores3.carrierzone.com/se...com/StoreFront). They've got many, many options. I like the smooth, round **** much better that MGW,s as the metal insert on the top of the **** was uncomfortable. The shifter itself is great.
I just replaced my stock **** with a stainless **** from Southern Car Parts. The difference is amazing... I was mildly disappointed before but now I'm VERY pleased. The stock **** just doesn't have enough weight to compliment the shifter in my opinion...
I have been tracking your built. Nice.
I have the short threaded stem and made my heavy stainless ****. The top of **** sits 1/4" above the top of the stem. That was the recommendation for LS2 from MGW George and he was right on.
Shift pattern on race **** is a glued on cast aluminum piece with raised number/letter. MGW George sent me one for use on my **** if I choose. Instead, I engraved mine. Incidentally, I am not in the business of advertising what I made for sale and complete with anyone. Just throwing out ideas that someone else might like to use.
Has anyone else gone with a solid metal (heavy) **** like those from TWM? How much does it aid shift throw compared to the MGW Race **** or Hurst Ball (if you ran those first)? Thanks.
