Fuel Additives
I have about 3,500 miles on my c6 Grand Sport. I've had it for 13 months. So you know its not a DD.
I have not used fuel additives in the past. But I was thinking maybe I should be. Some times it sits for three or four weeks at a time.
I have seen the commercials for sta-bil, but I'm not sure if I need it in my case. I live in so cal. So the car is not in cold temps. If that matters.
I also was wondering about fuel injector cleaners. should I use them and how often, maybe add some now?
Any thing you guys recommend?

The only fuel additive I use is Techron. It really helps keep the fuel sender from getting sulfated. It also keeps fuel injectors clean. I use about 2 or 3 bottles a year with a fill up of gas.

Techron is also normally the only additive I would put in the tank.
However, with the advent of ethanol, gas now goes stale a LOT faster than it used to. You might want to consider using some Stabil. I believe they are now making a new formula designed just for gas with ethanol in it, though I haven't seen any of it on the shelves just yet.

Yup use Chevron Techron and regular use of Chevron gas which should be available in SoCal every other gas station. Also try not to have your vette sit long periods with near empty tanks. Less chances of fuel gauge sender problems.

The previous posters beat me to it, but another vote for Techron. Great stuff. About the only "mechanic in a can" I know of that really works. I was talking to a GMC dealer with regards to fuel injection cleaning services, they told me they use Techron to do the job. I like to use it just before an oil change - install a can of Techron in about a 1/2 tank of gas and go for a drive on the freeway. I'll hit the red-line a couple of times and then head home to do an oil change. The gear you choose to hit the red-line with is entirely up to you!

I use Chevron exclusively!!!! I have seen first hand results from all the major companies and Chevron beats them all. If you use their gas you will not need to use anyother additive. Chevron is not in all 50 states if you don't have a gas station near by add Techron. You can also use Texaco it is owned by Chevron and has techron.

Another vote for Techron. No Chevron's where I live so I use a bottle when I travel to Florida or Tennessee. I don't sweat the ethanol because it doesn't sit long enough for it to be a concern. If it did sit then I would definitely use an ethanol stabilizer. Lucky for me I have never lived far enough North to have to worry about storing cars for the winter. I use Seafoam in my diesel Suburban and four stroke yamaha 225 outboard.

Here are the 3 good Fuel Injector cleaners that I'd recommend:
1 - Seafoam - great stuff
2 - Guaranteed to pass - it's used before you smog the car but it cleans everything very well
3 - Techron CONCENTRATE - must be concentrate for it to work well.

I would not run a fuel stabilizer in your case, but I agree that keeping the injectors clean is important.
