C6 IDC tech assistance please
Long shot but hoping someone here can help (Bill C?)
Background:
I have an LS7 w/E38 controller and custom harness all wired and set to go - this is a custom setup in a 69 Camaro so hang in there....
What I would really like to do is utilize the IDC from a C6 Corvette also but without using a BCM. If I understand correctly, the early C6 (2006?) used CAN to talk to the BCM. From there, a Class 2 signal was fed into the IDC.
Have any of the newer models used a different system, maybe taking CAN signal directly into the IDC? I don't need the information display, mostly wanting to get the other gauges working (oil, temp etc').
I hope that makes sense to someone. I know there are some really smart and/or connected people on this board. Any help appreciated.
