Default Mods and Dynos!!!!!!

Please correct me if I'M wrong, but there is no sticky for modifications and dynos. We have 1/4 mile times, but some people can't get to the track and some don't wish to track their cars. Is it possible to post a sticky for mods and dyno numbers. I think this will alleviate some "what works" questions. We can post year, engine, mods and dyno numbers. Just a thought. This way, new Corvette owners who wish to mod, can get an idea of which parts actually gave them power.

A6 LS2

K&N, Ported FAST 90, Catless Longtubes, Borla Stingers and tuning

The numbers are with an unlocked 3200 yank converter (reads lower dyno #s)

SAE Corrected on Dynojet: 387/396

Someone with a stock converter would dyno higher...but I like to get it done where it counts; at the track

It ran 11.5 @ 119 before the Ported FAST 90....just need to get back out now.

So how do you go about passing the emissions? I may have to take the sneaky route on this in a year or so.

^^ so to summarize what your saying (trying to learn) correct me if I am wrong..

Essentially drivers mod, intake, catless headers, axel back exhaust and tune and you got a under 12 second car??

Mod section would be great I second this....

Your car is strong. With a cam, you may run 11.0s. Ewp, and ported tb, and you will see 10s!!

I think this is a great idea! I'll provide the two numbers I have so far (note that she appeared to be pretty strong out of the box):

2005 A4 (2.73)
Borla Multicore Over-axle, LPE CAI
360 rwhp / 359 rwtq

2005 A4 (2.73)
Borla Multicore Over-axle, LPE CAI, LG Street Series LTs, LG High-flow Catted X-Pipe, 160 stat, LG Dyno Tune
375 rwhp / 379 rwtq

Thanks, but I plan on running 10s well before I ever get a cam in.

The 11.5 was before my Ported FAST 90, Underdrive Pulley and new tune (which is better).

Shooting for 10.9 on boltons in the next 2-3 weeks. If I swap my heavy aftermarket wheels out for skinnies up front it should be fairly easy to accomplish.

If I could only run 11.0 with a full bolton+cam car I think I'd be depressed, lol.

With Lg Super Pro headers (stock mufflers), vararam, and tune I made 392whp/394tq and went 11.6 at 118mph. I have since added a cam and made 440whp/417tq and got one pass where I didnt even launch and went 11.37 at 123.7mph before getting booted for no cage. I'm adding a fast 102 and 4.10 gears and going for 10's and 470whp.

I have mine, but won't be able to post it up until I get back from my business trip. I have to scan it in, just a hard copy.

Porting your FAST is worth it, it's more time consuming than genious work, but it makes a big diff., & I consider it free hp since I did mine myself. Your E.t. goals are w/ in reach, but seems like a tuff # to achieve in gen. I'm frnz w/ Joe G. & he worked his azz off to get there, but finally did. The FAST will make more power, especially where you need it for goal for e.t. & so will the gears, but the gears at the same time will adversely affect hp#s, which are pretty meaningless given current power vs. e.t. Very impressive!

BTW, funny re: the roll bar. My local track we usually rent for a day on early on a Fri., so their pretty loosy goosy re: roll bars, I have yet to get thrown off, but, I have gotten a fare amount of timeslips w/ "NEEDS ROLL BAR" in red ink! Lol. I have a 'vert to boot, which brings the e.t & speed way up on regs., it may around 14 sec.

I'm thinking about getting the FAST ported for that extra 5-10whp. I know the gears will adversely affect hp, but will really help me nail the 60's i'm looking for. Currently my best 60' is a 1.71 through a completely stock rear which scares me. I'm hoping 4.10's will get me that low 1.5 high 1.4 I'm looking for and that magic mph of 128mph and I'll be happier than a pig in well you know. Atco is pretty easy on the roll cage rule, but I was running a pretty big event that day and I had no clue what the car was going to do and first pass was the 11.37 pass and they said slow it up or get out so I dialed 11.55 and broke out with an 11.47 at 92mph.
