For the drags? A 18" wheel kind of get lost in the large rear wheel arch. Even when dropped it looks out of place. For D.R. who cares what it looks likes. Just my observation, others may differ.

For road racing/autocrossing - I want to be able to drive to an event, race, and drive back without changing tires. DOT Street Legal tires like Nitto NT555's and Toyo R888's in 18's are a lot cheaper. Not as good as the Hoosier A6's I have, but I won't have to bust my ***** to change out the wheels and tires.
