Beginning in 2009 the mid-pipe to over-the-axle pipe geometry was changed. Pre-2009 mid pipes will not bolt up to 2009+ over the axle pipes. There is also a slight change in the mid-pipe hanger geometry. The headers themselves should fit the same. But…just a couple of weeks ago I looked at a 2010 Grand Sport (dry sump car) that had just received a new set of 1 7/8 headers and the Akropovich exhaust. The owner of that car had to take a chunk out of the engine cradle on driver’s side to clearance for one of the header tubes. This was a set of top-tier American made headers and if they were wrong…they were way wrong. The owner chose to just grind the cradle for clearance rather than delay and investigate whether he had bad headers or if there was a change in the cradle. It was probably the headers but not confirmed.
That's no good...I have a 2010 GS and have been debating headers. Do you know which ones he was running so I can stay clear?
Guys, As far as ARH systems are concerned, only the last 12" of the rear connection pipes are different. We can supply the connection pipes "only" if you're trying to install an 05-08 system into a 09 and up Vette. we also have them in 2-1/2" or 3" depending on which system you have.
With the introduction of the LS3 in 2008, we offer a D-shaped flange for 1-3/4" primaries. What's funny is that even bone stock these LS3's respond better to 1-7/8" headers than they do to 1-3/4". I recommend to anyone planning on installing headers on their LS3 Vettes seriously consider the larger headers. You won't disappointed.
It's been discussed in some of the header, gears, and TC threads. The question was raised more than once as to why the 09'-up cars required a wider exhaust split at the back of the center section before the catback, and more than one person who knew why did confirm this as the reason. Use the search button and you can find it yourself. To be honest though I could care less if you believe it or not
As far as the Z06 exhaust it will fit on an M6 but on the A6 it is very, very tight and will likely rub in some spots
Yeah, well I searched and found nothing. So, I called ECS , LG motorsports and, Texas Speed who ALL confirmed NO DIFFERENTIAL UPGRADE ON 2009 Corvettes. Sorry, but it was the cradle that was changed in '09, not the diff. Now, who is rolling on the floor?
You know, you really should try working at work. Don't you think? Nevermind, I really don't care what you think.
