Default 1000 ft times

Our club has the local dragstrip reserved for an afternoon of track time.

The track is a 1000 ft track. I have always referenced 1/4 mile times for everthing when comparing performance.

What would be a typical 1000 ft time for a stock C6 LS2 auto.
All the published 1/4 times I have seen were around 12.9 to low 13's for a stock LS2.

Last time down the strip for me was in 1965 in a full size Galaxie 500 XL 390. I would assume a C6 will be slightly quicker.

12.9 would roughly have a 1000' around 10.8

Bs sure to have fun.

I hear if you give or take about 2 seconds you can get real close to the times.
I'll see ya there....in fact, I'll run your SS heads up for a coke.

When do you have centerville reserved for? I need to pay dues and I can never make the meetings.

Take a look at the pics, 10.58 with the blue vette, I believe I was faster than that, but that was the only pic I had.

Might've been even quicker yet with the roof on/windows up.
