Default **extreme** bright hid mod

I recently bought an aftermarket HID kit to replace the stock hid low beams looking for something brighter. I bought "55w" balasts and bulbs from fleabay but after install it turned out to be one of their cheaper versions that was dimmer then stock! I believe it was a cheap version of their 35W instead of the advertised 55w. I used the same color for comparison 10000K in both. So before sending them back I had a bright idea.. What if I bridged 2 balasts together positive to positive and neg to neg and then hook it up to a single bulb!? Well let me tell you.. I am still blinded after being in the same room as the bulb when it was on. We are talking about like helicopter landing light bright. Brightness like you have never seen before bright. Anyway I just thought I would share this cool little experiment. I kept the bulb running for about 10 minutes to make sure it was stable and would not burn out or blow. This would make a neat setup if you wanted some highly illegal siiick high beams

Electrical guys..
Im woundering if an adjustment box could be used to cut back on voltage and set how bright you want them? What kind of adjustment unit would I need to get for a high voltage application like this?
