Default removing torque tube HELP!!!!

I read the post on how easy removving the torque tube is, so I tried. NOT so easy, but the cradle and diff/tranny is out. I removed the bolts at the engine side the tube will not slide back. Harness is loose and I have an auto so the shifter is not an issue. WHY WILL IT NOT SLIDE BACK? Help....PLEASE

Remove the rubber plug from the bellhousing and look up in there. Remove the bolt that holds the clamp around the input shaft and the entire torque tube assembly will slide right out.

Default torque tube

Thank you. Funny you should respond. I'm expecting to find a bearing problem since the car sounds like a diesel at idle. Chevy told me it was probably bearings in the tube, but......you have kits, yes?
