Default Fast install issues

I just installed the fast per the instructions and my car threw a p106 (map sensor error). I cleaned the map and it's reading. The idle is a little funky and there is a tapping noise. I know the valvetrain noise will be louder with this intake, but what gives. I plugged the back hole. I just know what the issue could be .. The idle will be fine for awhile then it starts to drop.

Something is off...

BTW, I hate the injector spacers.. It just doesn't look right...

I think you need your tune adjusted.

Yeah, I did not like the spacers either. I ended up bending the fuel rail mounting tabs to fit the FAST manifold. Clamped the tabs in my bench vice then used a Cresent wrench to get leverage to bend them. Drilled the holes out a little to help with the range of alignment.

Which hole did you use for the MAP sensor? Either one requires drilling of the hole as both are blind ended until one decides which hole to use, then you need to drill it out so that vacuum can get to the sensor.

My bet is that this is what the issue is.

Got called over to a friend's house for the same code when he installed a FAST intake on his Z06 a while back....hadn't bothered to drill the hole.

See if you missed anything from my FAST install?? Did you drill the map hole and plug the extra vacum port in the rear?

I drilled the one by the TB... On top (front)

I plugged the tiny tube in the back next to the brake booster tube

Why do you plug the extra tiny tube in the back? Isn't there a a hose that attaches to it? There was on the stock manifold anyway or is it just different for a Z06?

There are two open holes in the back.. Brake booster and a tiny tube as well.. The small hole is the one I plugged.

Yes I am aware that there are two holes. My stock intake manifold had both of them being utilized from the factory. My question is why do you plug the smaller hole, even though it was utilized on the stock manifold?

The Ls3 only uses the one hole in the back (brake booster)
